Tuesday 30th June 2020
Following today's announcements regarding the local lockdown restrictions put back in place across Leicester, we wanted to reassure our customers that we are still operating safely & are open for business.
Fortunately, we currently operate mainly outside the City boundaries and as far as we can tell we do not have customers within the designated lockdown area.
We are continuing to operate as per our guidelines previously set out at the start of June (see above) ensuring that all risks are reduced and we are working as safely as possible for both Staff & Customers.
We ask that all customers continue to be vigilant and follow Government guidance if that have any of the coronavirus symptoms as per the NHS website which can be found HERE.

Monday 15th June 2020
We have been back at work for 2 full weeks now & things are going well. We still have a number of staff on furlough & we are now planning the next phase of our return to work as we need to get staff back into work as soon as we possibly can.
We are now asking for customers who are able & want to come back to us starting week commencing Monday 29th June 2020 (in 2 weeks time).
If you have already notified us of your intention to come back or your situation hasn't changed then there's no need to do anything. If however, you weren't planning on coming back just yet but now want to, please get in touch via the form below as soon as you can. This will allow us to put together rotas & plan how many staff we can have returning to work.

We are pleased to confirm that as of Monday 1st June 2020 we will be back to work.
We have been working hard to create a 'new normal' for our Staff & our Customers to ensure that we operate with minimum possible risk & maximum safety for all.

Following developments this week we wanted to update you with our thoughts and plans with regard to getting back to work.
Whilst there has been a lot of confusion, ambiguity and in some cases contradiction in much of the Government’s advice, it is now clear that as a business we ARE allowed to return to work.
We will however, most likely need to implement some process changes to how we operate in order to ensure the minimum risk and maximum safety for both our customers and our staff. In addition, as our staff are currently furloughed and we are aware that not all of our customers will want us back just yet, it is going to take some planning to ensure that we have the right teams on the right rounds, at the right time.
We are now working on the relevant risk assessments, possible PPE, guides for staff and advice for customers to follow.
With this in mind we are planning to restart cleaning services on Monday 1st June 2020.
We are aware that some Customers would not like us back at this time and we also need to make provision for the fact that due to schools still being closed, some staff will struggle to make it back to work. There is however, a significant percentage of our customers that would like us back as soon as possible - if this is you then we appreciate you bearing with us during these unprecedented times.
We believe that it is important for us all, at some point to try and get back to what will most likely be a ‘new’ normal for some time to come. It is becoming clearer that the fallout from this pandemic will most likely last for years, as opposed to months as many of us had previously thought. In addition to this, we have unfortunately fallen through the cracks of Government support as whilst the girls have been furloughed, we have not been able to secure any financial support from the Government to help us keep trading and as such we will need to get back to work soon to ensure that Dazzlers will be around for our customers for years to come.

Once again we just wanted to update you on our current status as we have been on an enforced lockdown now for just over a month...
We hope you and your families are well and coping through these difficult times. We are pleased to say that we have managed to place the girls on furlough for now. Whilst as a business, we are unfortunately not eligible for much help from the government, at least the girls have some security through these difficult times and hopefully we will be able to get back to cleaning as soon as we possibly can.
We are currently awaiting for the next Government update which will be next Thursday (7th May) and we are hoping that this will give us an opportunity to at the very least, put plans in place to get back to work.
We are currently looking at what we can do with regard to PPE & social distancing measures for the protection of both our staff and our customers as it is clear that changing the way we work is something most businesses will need to do, certainly in the short term.
We are mindful that some of our customers would like us back as soon as possible and are also aware that others may feel vulnerable and not want us back just yet. What we need to do in order to plan a possible phased return to work is to get an idea of what your preference would be.
Therefore if we could ask you to complete the below form with a quick note letting us know whether you would like us back as soon as we can or if you want to wait a little longer then that would be great.

Just a quick update to let you know that we will be issuing March invoices by tomorrow and would appreciate it if you could settle your account promptly.
Unfortunately we still don’t yet have any terms or timescale on the Government’s proposed 80% offer of payment for furloughed workers and as such, we do not not know how long it will take to recoup any money paid out to staff during these times that we are unable to work. Obviously we only have a limited cash flow and it is for this reason that we need payments for work already completed to be cleared as soon as practically possible.
We appreciate that most people will be under financial pressures during these difficult times, although to varying degrees depending on each households personal circumstances & employment, therefore if you have problems with clearing your invoice, we ask that you give us a call to discuss the situation.
We also have a number of outstanding invoices from previous months still awaiting payment and for those concerned a reminder will be sent with your March invoice - if you have any queries on these please do get back to us so we can resolve them.
With regard to customers that pay by Direct Debit, you DO NOT need to cancel the DD mandate as a payment will only be requested following an invoice being issued to you. This will not happen again (after March invoices are sent out) until after we have been able to resume your cleaning service.
We would just like to say an enormous thank you to those customers who have kindly offered to make contributions during these difficult times in order to help us to cover our running costs & help with paying the girls. It is massively appreciated and will help to keep things going so that we can be ready to come back as soon as we possibly can, thank you.
Finally, we will look to update the situation as and when there are developments by updating the website here so please check back for more information in the near future.

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to notify you that effective immediately, we will be pausing all cleaning services for the foreseeable future.
Following this evening’s announcement, we have been instructed by the government to cease all non-essential travel and interaction with people outside our immediate families as a result of the escalating Coronavirus pandemic that is currently affecting not only our country but the entire world.
We appreciate that there will be a number of customers that rely upon our service and would like us to continue cleaning during these difficult times. Unfortunately, for the good of our country, our NHS and perhaps most importantly the health and well-being of our staff, we will not be able to visit any customer until further notice.
Although the government has offered help to businesses to enable them to survive these unprecedented and difficult times, unfortunately as we don’t have business premises we are not currently eligible for any grant to help us to cover our running costs over the coming month (or possible months) whilst not trading.
That said, we fully plan to survive this pandemic and come out stronger as a result. Building this business over the last 13 years has been both a labour of love and a huge amount of hard work for both myself and my husband and we fully plan to reopen as soon as is practical and safe to do so.
We are currently exploring our options with regard to retaining and supporting our staff through these difficult times. Whilst there isn’t much detail provided by the government as yet, we fully plan to work to retain and support our staff as much as we possibly can and we hope to be back up and running with our existing ‘Dazzlers’ as soon as possible.
I would like to thank all of our staff on your behalf as they have been fantastic through the last few weeks of terrible uncertainty and concern, proving what we already know, that they genuinely care about our customers and providing the best possible service we can.
Finally, I know that some of our customers are elderly or may have health concerns and are likely to be self isolating. If any of you need help with shopping or collecting medicines and aren’t able to get out then please don’t hesitate to give me a call on 07826 855078 and I will be happy to help where I possibly can - obviously as a voluntary service.

Following last night's announcement to close all schools as of next week, the situation has changed once again, and at some pace...
Our current position is still the same as it was yesterday (see below post), however it is possible that come next week we may have less staff available.
We would however, like to reassure our customers that we do still have significant numbers of staff that either do not have children or do have alternative childcare in place.
We are currently in discussions with staff to assess their individual situations and are also looking at alternative ways to keep those with childcare issues working (if they want to and are fit & healthy to do so).
As such, we are considering the possibility & availability of evening or weekend working in order to keep us trading, keep our staff working and making sure that we are best place to service ALL of our customers when we come out of the other side of this unprecedented situation.
As for our Domestic Customers we do normally work Monday - Friday between the hours of 9am - 3pm. We are sure however that you'll agree these are anything but normal times we are experiencing and as such, if your own circumstances mean that you would rather have regular or deep cleans on an evening or weekend then please call Jo on 07826 855078 to discuss this possibility.
Anything we can do to help us keep trading, our staff keep working and keep serving our customers can only help to get us through this.

As a business we are continuing to trade. We are following Government & NHS advice with regard to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
At present we are continuing to function as normal as we can. We are still working and following extremely stringent hygiene practices on a day to day basis as we do always. We currently have NO staff who are in isolation or showing any symptoms.
We have understandably this week seen a slight drop-off in work due to tighter government restrictions and appreciate the honesty of those customers in isolation in order to limit the risk to our staff as well as our customers.
These are very troubling times for all, however as a business we have traded successfully for over 13 years and we are determined that we will come out of the other side of this. We are planning to keep staff working for as long as possible and is safe to do whilst following Government advice & NHS best practice.
