Wedding Dress & Specialist Garment Terms & Conditions


Our specialist cleaning service is designed for wedding dresses and delicate pieces, with clear guidance on how we handle, process, and protect every item.

Turnaround Times

 

Wedding dresses and specialist garments require extended processing times.

 

Standard turnaround is typically up to 5 working days, depending on the item, fabric, and level of soiling.

 

Turnaround times are estimates and may vary.

Where applicable, timescales will be advised at the point of booking.

 

 

Garment Inspection

 

All items are inspected on receipt.

 

We will note any visible staining, damage, or areas of concern where possible.

 

We reserve the right to decline items where the risk of damage or unsatisfactory results is considered too high.

 

 

Cleaning Process

 

Items are cleaned using the most appropriate professional method, which may include WetCare® or dry cleaning depending on fabric and construction.

 

Due to the complex nature of wedding dresses and specialist garments, complete stain removal cannot be guaranteed.

 

Some stains may be permanent or may become more visible after cleaning.

 

 

Delicate Fabrics & Embellishments

 

Many garments include delicate materials and decorative features such as:

 

  • Lace
  • Beading
  • Sequins
  • Embroidery
  • Bonded or glued elements

 

Whilst every care is taken, we cannot guarantee against:

 

  • Loosening or loss of embellishments
  • Damage to delicate trims
  • Deterioration of fragile fabrics

 

 

Age & Storage Conditions

 

Cleaning results may be affected by the age of the garment and how it has been stored.

 

Stains that have developed over time may oxidise and become more visible during cleaning.

 

We cannot accept responsibility for changes caused by ageing or prior storage conditions.

 

 

Colour & Fabric Stability

 

Some fabrics and dyes are not colourfast.

 

We cannot accept responsibility for:

 

  • Colour loss or dye transfer
  • Fabric weakening or deterioration
  • Changes in texture or structure

 

 

Repairs & Alterations

 

We do not carry out repairs unless agreed in advance.

 

We cannot accept responsibility for failure of stitching, seams, or previous alterations during cleaning.

 

 

Finishing & Packaging

 

Garments are professionally finished and returned packaged for protection during transport.

 

Long-term preservation or boxing services are not included unless requested separately.

 

 

Liability Disclaimer

 

All items are cleaned at the customer’s risk.

 

Whilst every care is taken, we cannot accept responsibility for:

 

  • Pre-existing damage or weaknesses
  • Incomplete stain removal
  • Colour loss or fabric changes
  • Damage to embellishments or trims

 

 

Liability for any proven loss or damage is limited to a maximum of 5 times the cleaning charge for the item.

 

 

Collection & Delivery

 

Collection and delivery terms follow our standard laundry service conditions.

 

Any specific handling requirements must be advised at the time of booking.

 

 

Loss or Damage Claims

 

Any issues must be reported within 48 hours of collection or delivery.

 

Claims reported outside this timeframe may not be accepted.

 

 

Uncollected Items

 

Items not collected within 30 days may be subject to storage charges or disposal.

 

 

Acceptance of Terms

 

By submitting a wedding dress or specialist garment for cleaning, you confirm acceptance of these terms and understand the specialist nature of the service.
